Two large, identical ceramic noses, detached from the human body, sniffing each other in an endless circular motion with an engine-driven mechanism. The work is titled after Jorge Luis Borges's story, which deals with the idea of the beginning of the human sensory experience through an image of a stone, human-shaped sculpture. In the story, the sculpture is first given the ability to smell. This sense encourages the development of other senses and in the end, consciousness and awareness. Work documentation at the Zumu Arad exhibition. Curated by Ofra Harnam, Milana Gitzin Adiram.
